Two access points about 30 miles north of Kenai: an existing unimproved boat launch on the south side off Pipeline Road (a Kenai Peninsula Borough easement), and a 2021-built north-side path off Ballard Drive with a gravel parking pad, a 300-foot path, and a 12-foot shoreline fishing platform.

Fishing Barbara Lake

Barbara Lake is stocked by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, providing a less-rustic approach to rainbow trout fishing on the northern Kenai Peninsula. The lake has been stocked annually with rainbow trout since 1980. Fish and Game recommends casting small spinners or using bait under a bobber while fishing from the platform.
