Inside Matanuska Lakes State Recreation Area near Palmer (Glenn Highway mile 36.4). Only electric motors are allowed on the lake, and day parking requires a fee. ADA-accessible facilities in the park are limited to Matanuska and Kepler Lakes, not this one.

Fishing Irene Lake

Irene Lake is a component of the Matanuska Lakes State Recreation Area, which is identified as a popular fishing park.
