Fishing Bellaire Lake
Bellaire Lake is a 10-acre mountain lake where fishing is a main attraction. The lake is stocked annually with rainbow trout and cutthroat trout. These species, along with creek chubs, make up the bulk of the catch for anglers. The shallow, 13-foot-deep lake warms in summer, offering consistent action for both spin and fly anglers. A 1.25-mile trail circles the lake, providing easy access to fishing spots around the entire shoreline. Boating on this no-wake lake is limited to non-motorized and electric vessels, ensuring calm water.

What to watch for
The lake gets crowded by midday on summer weekends. Visitors should be aware that the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire burned significant forest right up to the campground boundary, leaving charred trees and fire-scarred rock formations visible from many campsites. Additionally, bears are active in the area.
