High alpine reservoir in the Ruby Mountain Range with popular stocked trout fishing. Only non-motorized boating is allowed, no ramp. The vault toilet campground (first-come and reservable, $24 per night) has bathrooms and drinking water. About 6 to 9 miles from Crested Butte via Kebler Pass Road.

Fishing Irwin Lake
Lake Irwin is a very popular destination for fishing, with a variety of trout species stocked each year by Colorado Parks & Wildlife. The lake is commonly popular for fishing or paddling with a kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard. It is often observed that the lake is usually so full of fish you can see them rise to the calm surface.
