Grand Mesa reservoir about 22 miles north of Paonia via Forest Roads 701 and 705. USFS dispersed camping is on the east side, 14-day stay limit, no restrooms. Stocked yearly with rainbow and brook trout; the reservoir is drained each fall so fish stay small.
