Fishing Lake Lavine

Lake Lavine is known for its fishing, containing significant numbers of perch, bass, bluegill, and crappie. It is a deep lake with steep drop-offs. A state-operated public fishing site with a paved boat ramp is located on the southeastern shore. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources formerly stocked rainbow trout here, but this practice stopped in 2009 after illegal release of northern pike diminished the native habitat.
