Willow Creek Reservoir and its dam were built as part of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's Sun River Project, about 7 miles northwest of Augusta on Gibson Reservoir Road. Drawn down for irrigation with seasonally fluctuating levels; a concrete boat ramp and camping shelters are on site.
