Hand launch (canoe/kayak) provided by Clarence Fahnestock State Park off the Taconic Parkway about a mile south of Route 301; electric motors only, permit required from the park manager, parking for about 10 vehicles.

Fishing Stillwater Pond

Stillwater Pond is ideal for the angler fishing from a canoe or kayak. This pond is stocked every spring with 970 Rainbow Trout and 930 Brown Trout. Anglers have success trolling with small metal spoons and in-line spinners in this clear water pond, which also contains Panfish.
