USACE flood-control reservoir 12 miles west of Eugene. Boat ramps at Richardson Park, Fern Ridge Shores, Perkins Peninsula Park, and Orchard Point Park. A fishing dock at Perkins Peninsula helps young or disabled anglers; bank access is good along the dam and shoreline parks.

About Fern Ridge Reservoir

ODFW features it for crappie that often top 12 inches, plus largemouth bass, bluegill. At about 9,000 acres full pool, Fern Ridge is the largest lake in the Willamette Valley. a shallow USACE reservoir on the Long Tom River west of Eugene. and brown bullhead in the many coves created by Amazon Creek, Coyote Creek, and other tributaries.
