About Toledo Bend Reservoir

Toledo Bend Reservoir is an excellent year-round largemouth bass lake. Crappie and channel, blue, and flathead catfish are good too. Sunfish here often run large. White bass fishing is fair and seasonal around the spring spawn. Stocked striped bass rate poorly because spawn conditions do not suit them. Hydrilla and other plants, standing timber, brush piles, and creek channels shape habitat. The lower South section runs clearer than the upper North, where plants have declined.
