USFS Cave Mountain Lake (7 acres, CCC-built in the late 1930s with a 35-foot dam) has a sand swim beach and several fishing piers around the shore. Youth-only fishing (age 15 and under) runs April 1 to June 15, then opens to all with a VA license. Campground on site; Lexington is 20 minutes away.
