Inside Captain Cook State Recreation Area, about 14 miles north of Nikiski. Has a boat launch and picnic areas, plus a small, primitive, boat-accessible campground. The park's main Discovery Campground and beach sit nearby on Cook Inlet; ice fishing is popular here in winter.
