Boat ramps at both Bear Creek Reservoir and Big Soda Lake, open seasonally (closed mid November to mid March). Two fishing piers on Bear Creek Reservoir, one at the boat ramp and one at Pelican Point. Camping April through October. $10 general admission.

Fishing Bear Creek Lake
Bear Creek Lake Park is a 2,624-acre gem that provides opportunities to hike, picnic, camp, fish, boat, windsurf, mountain or road bike, hit the swim beach or head to the archery range. There are also horseback riding stables offering guided rides, and water ski school and fishing opportunities in the summer months. As it moves downstream, Kerr Gulch, Cold Spring Gulch and Saw Mill Gulch all add to its flow making it a sustainable river to fish from spring to fall, with close access to the Denver area and offering many recreational opportunities.

What to watch for
Access from the south side of the lake is closed. Lakewood is closing access to Big Soda Lake from the south side of the lake immediately because of degradation to this area and illegal parking.
