About Chippewa Flowage

Louis Spray's 69-pound, 11-ounce world-record musky came from the Chippewa Flowage in 1949. A 1924 dam merged 11 lakes, nine rivers, and countless streams into Wisconsin's third-largest lake and a famed muskie water. Walleye lead angler interest today. The east basin stays darker and ties to rivers, with top smallmouth bass. The west basin is clearer and weedier, with growing largemouth bass and northern pike.
