Lake Chippewa, also known as Chippewa Flowage, is an artificial lake created by the Winter dam in northwestern Wisconsin, and is the third-largest lake in the state, featuring 233 miles of irregular shoreline dotted with islands. The largest muskie caught in Wisconsin came from the Chippewa Flowage. Fish available include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Sturgeon, and Catfish.

What to watch for

Anglers should be aware that the flowage contains numerous stumps, submerged logs, rock bars, and floating bogs, which provide ample boating hazards, including one large bog known as the "Forty-Acre Bog".
