Calamity Campground sits at the north end of Palisades Reservoir in Caribou-Targhee National Forest, right on the Wyoming side near Alpine. It has a boat ramp with a large parking area, vault toilets, and drinking water, but no electrical hookups.

Fishing Palisades Reservoir

Lake and shore fishing are very popular at Palisades Reservoir. Wild and stocked cutthroat trout are the predominant species here. Additionally, Kokanee salmon, brown, and Mackinaw trout can also be found in these lake waters.
