Fishing Chatfield Reservoir

Fishing is available at Chatfield Reservoir, which is part of Chatfield State Park. Water releases during the Reallocation Project were timed to avoid impacting walleye and smallmouth bass spawning during the spring. The increased water level has also resulted in cottonwood trunks becoming submerged, expanding the reservoir's footprint and creating new areas.
