Fishing Lake Cadillac

Lake Cadillac is a regional tourist destination where fishing is a popular summer activity. In winter, the lake attracts ice-fishers. The city of Cadillac is located upon the shores of Lake Cadillac, which is connected by the Clam Lake Canal to Lake Mitchell.

What to watch for

Eurasian water milfoil infestations were discovered on Lake Cadillac in 2005, with over a quarter of the lake's surface area becoming inhabited by it during the summer. Treatments in 2006 brought the infestation to acceptable levels by 2007. Also, the lake can be busy in winter as the North American Snowmobile Festival is held on its frozen surface.
