Fishing Whitefish Lake

Whitefish Lake offers popular fishing opportunities as a major recreational activity. The lake was named for its abundant mountain whitefish, which are still present. Historically, bull trout and westslope cutthroat trout were found, but in diminished numbers. Introduced non-native species are now present, including northern pike, lake trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, and abundant lake whitefish.
