DEC-listed public hand launch on Shaver Pond in Grafton. Parking for 5 cars and trailers. Multiple walk-in access trails with parking off the main Parkway Road and off Shaver Pond Road. No motors permitted. Day use fee in season. Boat rentals available.

Fishing Shaver Pond

Shaver Pond offers opportunities for both warmwater and coldwater fishing. Anglers are able to catch some largemouth bass and panfish right off shore, and although not always plentiful, they do offer some good action. Approximately 250 rainbow trout are stocked each spring. The lake is fairly deep, so using a canoe or kayak can improve your chances of catching larger trout holding near the bottom.
