Mix Lake Campground sits on the lake in the Conejos River drainage, one mile west of Platoro at 10,000 feet elevation. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day, 22 sites, vault toilets, and potable water. Day use is $12, overnight camping $26 per site.

Fishing Mix Lake
Mix Lake, located in the Conejos Region, is a 25 surface acre lake at an elevation of 10,000 feet. It can be accessed for fishing, with opportunities to catch Brown, Rainbow, and Brook trout. The Mix Lake Campground overlooks the lake.

What to watch for
Motorized travel may be restricted by snow and annual seasonal road closures from March 15th to May 15th. There is private land in the area, so be sure to obtain permission before entering these areas.
