Fishing West Lake

West Lake offers fishing for multiple species. Fish species present in the lake are pickerel, black bullhead, white sucker, rock bass, carp, yellow perch, and pumpkinseed sunfish. The lake also has Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Brown Trout, and Rainbow Trout. West Lake is stocked with trout by DEC to provide a seasonal fishing opportunity in the cooler months, and trout occasionally hold over the summer in this lake.
