Fishing Little Muskego Lake

Little Muskego Lake thrives as a fishery and wildlife area, best known for its bass and panfish populations. Walleye, northern pike, catfish, and other rough fish species are also present in the lake. Fishing is permitted for personal consumption only, with no commercial fishing authorized. Among its many recreational activities, the lake hosts ice fishing.

Little Muskego Lake is populated by several invasive plant species, such as starry stonewort and Eurasian water milfoil. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) lowers its level each September and October. Extended drawdowns of up to 84” have been used to reduce invasive plant species in the lake.
