Fishing Lake Koshkonong
Lake Koshkonong is well known for its great fishing seasons. Hook and line fishing is open all year round, though some species have restrictions. For fishing to be able to occur on the lake, Walleye and Northern pike are stocked by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Anglers can find muskellunge, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, and catfish in Lake Koshkonong.

What to watch for
Lake Koshkonong is very shallow, averaging around six feet with a maximum depth of seven feet. Invasive species such as Curly-Leaf Pondweed and Zebra Mussel are present. Ice fishing has become less common due to warmer weather in recent years.
