Fishing Butterfield Lake

Butterfield Lake offers various fish species including Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, and Yellow Perch. The most common gamefish are northern pike and largemouth bass. Anglers regularly take largemouth bass up to 20 inches. Northern pike up to 30 inches and yellow perch up to 12 inches provide good ice fishing and early spring action. More than 300,000 walleye fry are stocked annually, however, walleye are not common in the lake.
