Fishing Red Lake

Red Lake supports a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. Largemouth bass and northern pike are the most common gamefish. Largemouths up to 20 inches are commonly reported, and pike up to 25 inches are fairly common. Black crappie over 12 inches are available, and legal-size chain pickerel are present. Walleye abundance is variable, but fish over 20 inches are not unusual, with the lake stocked with small walleye fingerlings.
