Fishing Seneca Lake
Seneca Lake is a popular fishing destination in central New York, celebrated as the lake trout capital of the world. It is known to host the National Lake Trout Derby. Anglers can find coldwater fish such as lake trout and Landlocked Atlantic salmon inhabiting its deeper waters. Shallower areas are home to warmwater fish like smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Other species available include rainbow trout, brown trout, northern pike, and pickerel.
