Fishing Canandaigua Lake

Canandaigua Lake is a popular fishing destination, known for its well-oxygenated and clear waters, with visibility up to 30 to 50 feet deep. The lake supports various salmonids like lake trout, brown trout, and rainbow trout. Anglers can also find largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and chain pickerel. Panfish such as yellow perch, blue gills, pumpkinseed, rock bass, black crappie, and bullheads are present, along with carp near public access points and stream beds. Fishing access is available from May to mid-October at Canandaigua Lake State Marine Park.
